Yes, it can be done. Set the >internal modem to Com port 2 and everything will work properly. > >Trust me, just do it. O.k. I will Do that, But I do not have the instructions for the IDE card. So I do not know what pins to change....... I can go through all 18 (?) pin and fiddle with them for a few a while... Is there a FAQ on IDE cards? This could drive me to the edge of insanity! 18 pins..how many combinations are there ? :) ---- Update----- I opened the machine up again... I still have yet to figure out how to disable the com2: on the IDE board. ..But I did, after reading a few other posts try the modem on Com4: and the rodent on com1: .. Well It works kinda...I guess there is not as many port conflicts on C4 as in C2 .. (I thought they had the same IRQs ..COm1= Com3...Com2=Com4 ) It works partially, It does hang up on a system and it says it on-line all the time, but the mouse does move around a little... Well I am going to disable the com2 on the IDE.. If I can figure out what pins need to be flipped.. If you can help or tell me how to do it!
